What We Offer

Thoughtfully designed nature experiences tailored for older adults exploring Ireland's wetlands

Clara Bog Boardwalk Experience

Walk the fully accessible wooden boardwalk through one of Ireland's most important raised bogs. Our guides share stories about bog ecology, the plants and animals that call it home, and why this landscape matters for nature conservation. Most walks last around 90 minutes with flexible pacing.

Wetland Wildlife Discovery

Join small groups of 6–8 people to spot birds, dragonflies, and wildflowers across the seasons. We provide binoculars and field guides so you can identify what you're seeing. Spring brings migrating warblers, summer brings dragonflies in brilliant colours, and autumn offers golden light and changing wildlife patterns.

Guided Nature Loop Tours

Explore circular walking routes through the Offaly wetlands at your own pace with our experienced guides. Routes range from 2–4 kilometres with several rest stops built in. We match the route to your group's interests and abilities, whether you want a gentle stroll or a more active morning out.

Interpretive Walks & Talks

Our naturalist guides lead themed sessions exploring bog history, conservation science, or seasonal wildlife changes. These aren't lectures—they're conversations while you walk. You'll learn why bogs matter for climate, how they've changed over centuries, and what's being done to protect them today.
